P90x wk 8 review

I am at the end of week 8 of my P90X journey. This week has been interesting. It was suppose to be "recovery week" but we already know that it really is just a week of no weight training. It is just cardio and core work. I found this week kinda difficult. I was "sucking wind" and I kept finding myself laying on the floor gasping for air and just exhausted during the workout. I even got mad at myself because I couldn't understand why I was reverting back to day one. Then I realized a few things.
1. I was working higher than my zone before I would start gasping. So my tolerance level is actually higher. (I didn't start tiring out until my HR was 164 instead of at 152)
and
​ 2. I have barely slept last week. My job has been so crazy that my insomnia came back in full effect.
Normally I go to bed at about 10PM, but this past week I stayed up to midnight several nights a week. tsk tsk, I know better.

Lesson to everyone: Your body is burning a lot of energy and calories, you must get adequate rest to rejuvenate yourself.

After weeks of working out, my equipment inventory has increased. This is what I know utilize:
  1. Pull up bars
  2. 5lb weights
  3. 10lb weights
  4. one resistance band
  5. yoga mat
  6. heart rate monitor
my supplements are:
P90X recovery drink
Shakeology meal replacement
as a result, I have lost several 10lbs so far and several inches all over my body.
