Ok, so I got through the recovery week and decided to move on to Ph2 of P90X better known as days 31-60. I am feeling a lot more fit and I am ready to Bring it, are you? This week helped me understand what the infomercials meant by "muscle confusion"; wowsiers. My muscles didn't know what the heck was going on. But yippee me, I was doing more push ups and lasting longer in Plyometrics. Yes, unfortunately Plyo is back for phase 2. I can't seem to get away from this dvd. I guess I better start learning how to master it. I have noticed that I can jump a little more and do more jacks. I am even doing 3-4 of the X-jacks. I know, I know, my physical therapist is probably pissed with me right now, but I vowed to bring it baby and that is what I am going to do. When my leg gets tired it lets me know, no problem. I am still modifying some of the exercises and kicks are still difficult for me.
Listen to your body people. Don't go balls to the wall if you have previous injuries or heart conditions. Speaking of hearts, I think I am going to invest in a heart rate monitor. My hubby has one now so I am thinking about getting me one too. Maybe it will help me stay in my zone. I know they have them at beachbody.com and they seem to be cheaper there for the good quality ones. My hubby shopped at a sporting goods store and he saw them for 90 bucks and up for quality ones. Yowsiers!!! Ok ok, an actual review of week 5... It was tough. My biceps still hurt, but it is a good hurt. I am glad the dvds are arranged the way that they are because I could not imagine doing chest, shoulders, and triceps plus ab ripperX in week 1-3. I just wasn't strong enough yet. Don't confuse what I am saying, the program hasn't completely pushed your body back to day one, but it is still challenging. No worries though, Tony and Pam and Drea' are all there again to help you out. Tony is a mad man I tell you. "Swim suit here I come"--BRING IT!!
