So I finally did it. I posted my P90X results. First I was skeptical about posting them because I absolutely hated the way I looked in the beginning and I was truly ashamed. I am still not fully satisfied with my results but I know how to do better next time; plus I am about being truthful to myself and to anyone else that knows me or reads my blogs.
So I will truthfully reveal my beginning and my end results after the 90 days...(see video)
One thing I realized, was how important diet in conjunction with exercise is. I feel like I could have lost more than 15-20lbs in 90days if I had kept a stricter diet. Many times I would cave in and eat and drink whatever I wanted. Bad bad bad. Doing that is partially how I got to the weight I was in in the beginning.
Let me say this, I plateaued relatively quickly. I thought P90X would prevent that, but I guess with the not so stellar eating habits, plateau was inevitable.
On a good note: I lost so many inches it was crazy. My waist went from a 38 to a 33 in 90 freaking days. My legs got smaller and so did my hips, and my arms got bigger and slightly more defined. Yippeee!!! I am still in a size 14 pant but I can wear a few 12's. My leg is still swollen from the surgery so that is why I still wear 14 jeans (I think).
Since I have not reached my goals, I am not done on my journey however, I am going down a different path. I am trying a cardio intensive workout this time (Turbo Fire) with the high energy Miss Chalene Johnson creator of Turbo Jam. Yes, I know that it is another Beachbody product, but these are still cheaper than any surgical procedure and more gratify. Besides, I get a great discount. (it's ok, you can ask me how, I don't mind) Anywho, I will keep you updated on my fitness journey
