Statistics show that most people gain 5-10 pounds over the next 2 months. The holiday eating must somehow make people forget all that they have worked for throughout the year. Let's beat the odds, lets stay fit throughout the holidays. No matter what your fitness level, you can participate in this challenge.
November's challenge is all about consistency.
This challenge builds on week 1. During week 2 you will choose either the exercise or healthy habit to continue as well as complete this week's tasks:
The challenge has 3 components:
1. The exercise- This week we are doing the X-Jump, similar to a jumping jack, but funner. See video for examples.
2. The healthy habit- This week I want to incorporate vegetables into our routine. Every day I want you to consume one serving of fresh veggies, steamed, raw, blended, or in a smoothie, it doesn't matter to me as long as you eat fresh veggies. No, sorry (not sorry) but lettuce on a hamburger does not count. Why? Well, because that is not one full serving. Now if you had lettuce, tomatoes and mushrooms on it plus it was wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, then (maybe) I'll count that.
3. The mantra- The mantra is just a little added "something something" to celebrate your accomplishments. It may seem silly at first, but the more you celebrate, the more you will feel good about your decision to get back on track.
A few notes:
**If you do not accomplish every part of the challenge every day don't beat yourself up. Tomorrow you will just work a little harder at accomplishing the daily goal.
